Udgar Parsons, Founder & Co-Owner
After graduating and practicing as a dentist an orthodontist in the UK, I decided to pursue a life of self-sufficiency on a remote farm in northwest Scotland. For the next 10 years, my family and I lived off the grid, on 20 acres with no access by road, only boat. Over the course of the years I have had many careers including practicing as a massage therapist, hypnotherapist, aircraft mechanic, homebuilder, installer of photovoltaic systems, gardener, vision quest leader, plus all the roles involved in being an entrepreneur and starting a business. In 1985, Puja and I moved to Aspen, Colorado where I fell in love with the Growing Dome. That love affair continues to this day.

In my former careers founding non- profits and being a therapist, I created programs and supported growth through holistic values and deep awareness. As a consultant for business corporations teaching centering and conflict resolution I saw the need to transform our assumptions in order to be more innovative. I feel so privileged to be supporting healthy choices for our clients and modeling a new way of doing business which is now defined by the Conscious Business Movement. I am sure we are a vision/mission whose time has come and enjoy supporting those who are ready for the quality of life our product represents. My passion for beauty, nature, music and art is all integrated into my love of my job. It is an honor to offer our life experience in so many ways.
Destiney Hilsabeck, Installation & Maintenance Coordinator
I began working with Growing Spaces in the spring of 2011. Hired to answer telephones, I was soon coordinating our installation teams for builds and maintenance, as well as processing parts orders. Having grown up living off the grid, I learned the importance of renewable resources and conservation at an early age. Growing Spaces has helped me to foster these lessons from my childhood as well as help guide me towards a healthier lifestyle. I like to spend my free time with family and friends on the river- rafting or tubing. Also playing with my two dogs. Come winter, I like to snowboard, but am also a sucker for cuddling up by a warm fire with a good book.
Jessica Bilazzo, Director of Finance
I joined the Growing Spaces family in 2008 and have enjoyed each and every day here since. It is amazing how great your job can be when you believe in the product, the people and the purpose. I do not think I could ask for a healthier workplace. When I am not at Growing Spaces I enjoy spending quiet time at home with my family and animals.
Josie Sifft, Growing Dome Parts Fabricator
I have lived in Pagosa Springs for over 25 years. I am happy to say that I had the first Growing Dome in Pagosa Springs and it is still functioning quite well. I started working with Growing Spaces about 20 years ago, helping to build domes and manufacture parts. Then, in 2013, I returned to be a member of the shop team, creating the myriad of parts that go into each Growing Dome. I enjoy working with rescue horses and developing my horse handling skills, quilting, woodworking, and just enjoying life in beautiful Pagosa Country.

I graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2009 and moved to Gunnison, Colorado to pursue a degree in Environmental Studies. After graduating from Western State Colorado University, I moved back to my home town, Pagosa Springs. Since moving back home in 2013, I have been working to develop a farm in Arboles. In my spare time, one may find me backpacking in the wilderness, cruising on a mountain bike, slacklining in the park, or skiing Wolf Creek. I also enjoy creating art when I am not outdoors. The mediums that I enjoy working with are yarn, canvas and paint, and clay. I have been experimenting with aquapoinics and am always excited to share knowledge on the subject with others. I joined the Growing Spaces team in 2015, and enjoy being involved in all the exciting projects and developments happening around here!
Matt DeGuise, Production Manager
I have worked at Growing Spaces since 2011, starting as a dome installer and more recently as the Production Manager. Due to my experience building the domes I also answer many of the tech calls. When working In the shop I prefer to listen to Sirius XM channel 23 the Grateful Dead or channel 60 Outlaw Country. In my free time I enjoy gardening, rafting, and hiking with my wife and dog. I spend my winters as a ski instructor, but look forward to returning to Growing Spaces every spring.
Tom McCullough, Product Development Assistant & Parts Fabricator
I've been working with Growing Spaces since 2004. Although I've built scores of Growing Domes, I presently concentrate my skills on cutting the polycarbonate glazing into the desired triangles and assembling the hardware kits that are sent out. The Four Corners area provides an outdoor paradise that, after thirty plus years hasn't been taken for granted. When I'm not working at Growing Spaces, I'm outside. I hike the back country in search of good fishing. I also kayak, locally and abroad, fishing out of the kayak at times. Cross country skiing becomes a regular activity during the winter...which at times is way too long!

Greetings All, Richard Miller here! I make all the vents for each Growing Dome and have for as long as I can remember. Years ago, I was a professional in commercial steel design, fabrication, and erection. Awarded even, several times, however that didn't stop the company I worked for from filing bankruptcy and, sorry to say, losing my full retirement! Now that I look back on it, if that didn't happen I would never be writing this and building vents for each and everyone of you. I get to share my time in your gardening adventure! Be it backyard gardener, or a school to add gardening to curriculum, I am there. What an honor to support you all in your Growing Dome experience.

I began my journey at Growing Spaces in 2007. I have worked in several departments over the years. I love working for a company that embraces the new business culture, supports sustainability, and enables people to become self sufficient. Working at Growing Spaces has really helped me feel fullfilled in my passion for helping people and children to know what is in their food and where it comes from. I am a Colorado native. In addition to working at Growing Spaces I own my own spa & pool business. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my daughter and family, camping, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors.
