Randall Geo-Conservatory
Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.

Join us Tuesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. as we celebrate the completion of a project three years in the making. The Randall Geo-Conservatory is a living classroom for Flagstaff Academy K-8 students. The indoor, year-round garden will provide students hands-on experience while learning ecology, environmental stewardship, plant life cycle, renewable energy, nutrition, and more, as part of Flagstaff Academy’s Core Knowledge Curriculum.

The Geo-Conservatory was made possible through a strong volunteer greenhouse committee, Flagstaff family and community donations, Parent Teacher Organization and Board of Directors’ donations and support, a generous contribution from the Randall family, a Pepsi Refresh Grant, grants from the Home Depot, Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation, Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s class of 2009, support from Whole Foods as their charity of the week for one week, and help from Growing Spaces and Global Children’s Gardens.

Kyle joined the Growing Spaces team in 2015, and enjoys being involved in all the exciting projects and developments happening around here!I graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2009 and moved to Gunnison, Colorado to pursue a degree in Environmental Studies. After graduating from Western State Colorado University, I moved back to my home town Pagosa Springs. Since moving back home in 2013, I have been working to develop a farm in Arboles. In my spare time, one may find me backpacking in the wilderness, cruising on a mountain bike, slacklining in the park, or skiing Wolf Creek. I also enjoy creating art when I am not outdoors. The mediums that I enjoy working with are yarn, canvas and paint, and clay. I have been experimenting with aquapoinics and am always excited to share knowledge on the subject with others.
