Those that attended the public meeting for the proposed 42′ Growing Dome greenhouse project at Roaring Fork High made a touching statement of community by standing together to form a 42′ diameter circle – matching that of the Growing Dome greenhouse so many are hoping for.
“The Roaring Fork School District Board of Education is in unanimous support of the Green House Project at Roaring Fork High School. The benefits to both the school and community are better and we are pleased to offer the site for the green house and garden on school property for this purpose. We are also pleased about the collaboration with teachers at the high school who are enthusiastic about having this worth while addition to their curriculum.

Students at YMHS in Carbondale, Colorado took part in the build. The Growing Dome greenhouse installed at Yampah High in 2009 has inspired neighboring Roaring Fork High School to raise funds for a 42′ Growing Dome!

Flagstaff Academy Prepares to Raise their Growing Dome!

Flagstaff Academy is a PreK-8 public charter school with a mission to provide a science-focused, liberal arts curriculum that promotes excellence, teamwork, respect and a lifelong love of learning. The passionate parents, students & staff of Flagstaff Academy in Colorado have projected their dream of a Growing Dome on campus one step closer to becoming a real greenhouse.
The public charter school in Longmont, Colorado has been raising funds for over a year to purchase their 33′ Growing Dome! Acting as a part-time science lab… and with being able to incorporate the fresh grown veggies into the student lunches.. the dome will serve many purposes on campus. Once the Growing Dome is fully up and operating the students have the possibility of selling the produce they’ve grown to raise more funds for the academy.

A 51′ diameter Growing Dome greenhouse has been installed on the Reed City High School campus in Michigan!
Students will use this Growing Dome for a place of hands-on experience and education, getting them back in touch with the cycles and seasons of nature. Ordered this summer, the Dome will be assembled by Growing Spaces Installation Crew.
Growing Spaces fifty-one foot Growing Dome greenhouse offers 2,200 square feet of serious growing space, and can withstand a snow load of 65 pounds per square foot and winds of 100 mph.
