Folks, Do you have any dome owners who are living in the 41′ or 51′ dome? With the 51′ dome providing 2200sqft of floor space it seem one could have quite a greenhouse and a comfortable living space. We live in Asheville, NC and have four seasons, and this summer is really hot. If this is not a crazy idea any info would continue to spur my imagination.

    Thanks

We are starting a organic food ministry that we are actually kicking off this year, I am very interested in your domes but dont see any prices on here. Is there anyway to get a price list so we can purchase one? Also, are the solar panels included and do they work throughout the winter to keep the greenhouse warm?
    Thank You

    Jessica,

Thought I would send you this message so you would have my address. Look forward to receiving your information and cannot wait for delivery of our greenhouse! Living at 8000 ft. in the Rocky Mts has presented quite the challenge gardening, but this year it will all change. We are so excited!
    Thank you,
    Chrisy

Hello! I am a student at the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, BC, Canada. Our club, Students for a Green University, would like to install a small geodesic dome greenhouse on campus, to produce some food and act as a facility for education, research, and community-building. We would like to hear from you, and get an idea of what shipping costs will be like.

    Please email me back! Thanks,

    Cam

    Cameron,

Thank you so much for contacting us regarding a Growing Dome. How exciting for you and your University! We have had many educational institutions and communities purchase a Growing Dome Greenhouse and are very happy with the results. Kesy, from our Sales Department, will contact you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Thank you again for your interest.

Cameron, I am also from Prince George and have been wanting one of these domes….I heard on the news that the University may be getting one and I would like to hear how it is all going. I had briefly thought that if I were to get one too then we could share the shipping and/or install costs, and I could learn from help with you guys. what do you think? toejammy@telus.net

Hello there! The first of 7 comments above from a “Larry Downing” dated Sept 1, 2010 mentions his interest in an 51ft dome to be located in the Asheville, N.C. area. I happen across your blog exactly one year later and I too, am interested in such a project in the Asheville area.
Since you do not publish contact information, if you would be so kind as to forward my contact particulars to Mr Downing for an update of what he found during this past year.
If at all possible please leave my contact info here for others to contact me with like interests and experiences. Thank you for the attention and venue.

Hello Guy, I will most definitely forward your information to Larry Downing and hopefully you’ll hear back from him soon. You’re also welcome to call us with whatever questions you may have. We’ve found that using the Growing Dome as a living space is not optimal because it is pretty moist in there at times. It is definitely a great sanctuary space and works well as a place to relax, write and entertain guests. All the best, Stacey, Growing Spaces Staff 800-753-9333

    Hi!

My name is Jonathan Kraft. I head up the community at GreenJoyment.com. I just came back to Denver (beginning of December) and have just come across your site. I believe I met you at the Denver Green Festival in 2009… Were you there?

In any case, I would love to do some tours of Geodesic gardens and share more about your business with our online community of 25,000+ members (www.GreenJoyment.com)

Are there domes we could tour in this part of the state? I saw one in Parker on one of the sites, so that is pretty close. I could also come down to Pagosa Springs if there are gardens there… just would like to find some closer that we could tour (and potentially make videos as well of our experience with you – to post on our site as well as on YouTube).

(Sample of an older video about solar cooking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6gjxxYkoJI)
(More recent video from this summer in India: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLMy-5kqQUY)

Please let me know at your convenience if/how we can set something up, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank-you for being the change you wish to see in the world!

    Warm Regards

    Jonathan Kraft
